:sig
function memcache_get(connection : u64, key : string, default_value : string = "") string

:params
connection : the connection handle
key : the entry key
default_value : the value for a missing or invalid response

:returns
the stored value or `default_value`

:content
`memcache_get()` reads the value for `key`.

It returns `default_value` for a missing key or an incomplete response. It normalizes whitespace in keys to underscores before it sends the request.

This normalization is transparent. The keys `"a b"` and `"a_b"` address the same entry.

:example capy render
var connection := memcache_connect()
if connection { print(memcache_get(connection, "doc-key", "missing"), "\n") }
