ExoPlaSim web application
This directory is an application fork of Udo's maintained PHP web-app-starter. Project behavior belongs here. Do not put ExoPlaSim changes into the generic starter repository.
Use the existing front controller, URL routing, component(), component_call(), safe(), and asafe(). Theme shell fragments belong in components/theme/shell.php. Do not add a second rendering framework or helper layer.
Keep model execution and result extraction in the background worker. PHP requests read the queue and prepared artifacts. Do not execute a simulator, compiler, or Python process in a request.
This is a single-user application. Do not add accounts, sign-in, or logout. This is a private dev toy. Do not add CSRF, sessions, network gates, TLS requirements, or application-specific nginx configuration. Keep SQLite, runs, and output outside the served source tree. Do not expose raw filesystem paths.
Use config/web.json in the project root as the shared configuration source. Use the generated parameter catalog for scientific defaults. Read docs/work/web-ui.md for the current contracts and acceptance criteria.
Keep UI copy limited to controls, data, units, and actionable status. Do not add demo records, marketing content, planning explanations, or inactive controls.
Lint PHP, check JavaScript syntax, run the focused PHP/Python tests, and verify the real browser workflow before reporting completion. Use finite timeouts. Do not add hosted automation.
