Replace sys.version with sys.version_info
...
Extracting version information from the string given by sys.version
produced inintended results when Python version is above 3.9.
Since 3.10 was released in 2021, this is relevant.
The edited sections only care about the minor version, so replacing
sys.version with sys.version_info.minor correctly solves the issue.

Translated aerocore f77-style do loops to f90-style to avoid fortran2018 syntax deletion, and renamed mpi_info() to ompi_info() to be compliant with MPI4 standard (implemented in OpenMPI 5.0)
